Second year in China = less culture shock, a better understanding of how things work, a much improved ability in daily functioning & apparently a new blog! Although MSN spaces and I had our moments… its time in my development as an online blogger to move on. So people from now on its http://www.juliawolfie.wordpress.com. Yes for a competent site that’s squeezed its way through the firewall!
I arrived back in Dalian yesterday to rainy humidity, a taxi driver that mocked my directional sense, our fruit guy’s excited exclamation of our return before his usual nonsensical grunting and the outdoor window pane of our apartment completely shattered. Not a bad re-introduction to Dalian. The square outside my (broken) window right now is simultaneously hosting Tai Chi, ballroom dancing, a singing group of women dressed in 1980’s communist garb, people riding bikes, walking dogs, drinking beverages from tented stores, rollerblading, playing badminton, spitting and staring. Ah..home sweet home. After a summer of running around and crazed visiting it feels good to sleep in my own bed. Even if it is rock hard.
