Children are wonderfully uninhibited. They smile or stare straight and serious, then pose; slick up their hair with sticky, spat-upon hands and puff out their chests like peacocks for the photographer. They are proud of the way they look and seize the opportunity to have their faces marked permanently in someone else’s camera. On my last couple of ventures down children-run lanes, that lucky photographer was myself.
I do think most of the pictures here speak for themselves. Enjoy the Pakistani posers and the stories their smiles and thoughtful stares voice.
